Twist mop head assembly

Machine integrates an Allied rotary die press for cutting 4-up cloth mop strips, which are cut and automatically fed onto Dorner conveyor. Strips are then discharged onto polished pick-up plate where 4ea suction pick-up heads pick and place each of the four strips onto four individual servo driven pin and dial plates. Dial plates index (rotate), by preset degrees each machine cycle so that mop strips are evenly distributed.

After the machine has placed onto each plate the requisite amount for making a complete mop head, the strips are clamped by a mating set of four plates and then swung back to the front of the machine where operator has loaded the product pins and cups. Once in position, the pins are pressed through the cut strips into the handle cup and removed by machine operator. Concurrently the loading rotating dial plates return to the home position to repeat the cycle. Machine operates at a rate of 16 cycles per minute for an output of four finished mop heads per minute.
