Pad Printed Toothbrushes for Dentists

In-line machine for automatically pad printing dentist information onto toothbrush handles at a rate of 35 brushes per minute. Unique feature of this machine is that it automatically changes tooling to run one of 20+ toothbrush handle styles in less than 5 minutes. Operators select product code form Panel View machine control and then loads brushes onto conveyor tooling. Handles are pretreated with flaming device and then carried in under Autoroll pad printer for printing.

After printing is complete brushes are dried and then pick and placed onto a Doeboy packaging machine. Machine integrates all other machinery including Pad printer, Packaging machine, Card feeder and Laser marking unit into one machine control. Tooling changeover is constructed on indexing dial plate, which rides on precision rails in and out of position from conveyor. Changeover of pad printer clichés is assisted by two-station sliding fixture so that while one cliché is in operation the other can be changed over for the next order.
