For over 25 years, Franklin Automation has built a reputation for excellent customer satisfaction. We take immense pride in the machines bearing our name and the fact that our customers benefit from the quality of our work. At Franklin we believe that quality is achieved through continuous customer/supplier process interaction. This process starts with the project proposal phase and runs through to the machine installation and training. Below is a summary of what we call the Franklin Process:
-Concept and Proposal:
Our sales professionals will visit your facility to see your operation first hand and to listen and better understand your specific requirements. We attempt to gain an understanding of budget and timing constraints and work to provide innovative solutions that best fit your specific situation. Our proposals include a detailed write-up of our solution with concept drawing, estimated project delivery schedule, pricing options and statement of warranty.
After receiving your order the Franklin project team is assigned and meets to review all specifications and determine what information or data might still be required from the customer. Detailed project time lines are established and communicated with the customer along with the project team contact information.
Depending on project size we will schedule at least one or possibly several design reviews. Depending on location and timing we will either conduct design reviews in person or via virtual on-line meeting. Design reviews are critical for keeping projects on the correct path and ensuring that customers have a clear understanding and ownership of the design process.
-Factory Acceptance Test
Upon completion of the machine build and internal run-off, we will perform the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) together with our customer. These tests will be performed to Franklin Automation’s internal acceptance criteria or if otherwise previously agreed to the customer acceptance criteria. Production efficiency calculations and product quality tests will be conducted as part of the FAT documentation.
Franklin Automation will professionally Skid or Crate your machine so that it safely arrives at your shipping dock. Our skids and crates are built to withstand the rigors of freight transportation. For larger local shipments it may make sense to hire machine riggers to deliver your machine; in these cases Franklin can recommend several local companies that we have worked with in the past.
Clear and concise documentation is a critical element to the maintenance of any industrial machine. At Franklin Automation, we provide a complete set of professional documentation including:
o Operators Manual
o Maintenance Manual
o Purchased Parts and Spare Parts Manual (Including Purchased Parts Documentation)
o Electrical and Pneumatic Schematics
o Control Package Manual
o PLC and HMI Programs
o Tooling and Machine Assembly Drawings
-Start-up and Training
Our professional machine builders will work together with your maintenance crew to smoothly integrate your new equipment into production. We take time to train your personnel and to develop good working relationships so your team knows they have a resource at Franklin.
-Maintenance and Enhancements
In case you don’t have the proper maintenance professionals, Franklin Automation can provide regular maintenance though a service agreement. Also, if ever your production or inspection requirements change we can help make necessary adjustments.
